My Story
I grew up in a small town 3 hours away from Buffalo. After attending SUNY Fredonia for my undergraduate and graduate degrees, I fell in love with Western New York and moved to Buffalo! I have now lived here for 3 years and I am so grateful to live here!
What Brings Me Joy
I am so fortunate to have many things that bring me joy! More specifically, it would be spending time with my family and friends. I also enjoy reading, listening to music, and drinking iced coffee!
What I'm Good At
I am good at making learning fun and exciting for students! I am also good at building connections with not only my students, but other students in other classes and my coworkers!
What the World Needs
The world needs more of is kindness and compassion. Whether that is performing random acts of kindness as much as we can or showing love to others without expecting anything in return. I think everyone should be treated with kindness and respect regardless of what our differences may me.
Why Commons?
I chose Buffalo Commons because as soon as I first met some of the staff, I could tell that this was a place that truly cared about the success of students as well as caring about students well being in general. With Buffalo Commons, I felt like this was a place that would help foster me into becoming a stronger teacher with a solid support system. I could tell that Buffalo Commons was truly a community that I wanted to be a part of!
