I enjoy being in a place where I can learn, grow, and make a real difference alongside both students and colleagues.
Benjamin Rossi
My Story
My name is Benjamin, the sixth of seven siblings, born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Growing up in a busy household led me to spend much of my time outdoors playing sports. I am a passionate sports enthusiast, which inspired me to study Physical Education and begin working with children in 2011, where I discovered that teaching was what I truly wanted to do. After 10 years of experience, I decided to take on a new challenge by moving to the USA and learning a new language.
What Brings Me Joy
Spending time with my friends and family brings me a lot of joy. I really enjoy sharing meaningful moments together, especially during a traditional "asado", which is an important part of my culture. Those gatherings help me feel connected and grounded. What I enjoy the most is playing soccer with friends, as it combines fun and physical activity. Soccer has always been a big part of my life and a source of happiness.
What I'm Good At
I am good at preparing traditional asados and enjoy outdoor gatherings. I am also skilled at practicing sports in general and creating a positive and fun environment. Beyond that, I am a good listener and pay close attention to what others need. I value being present and supportive, both personally and professionally. These strengths help me build strong and respectful relationships with the people around me.
What the World Needs
The world needs many things, but if I had to choose one, it would be that people become more empathetic toward others. I believe it’s important for everyone to take responsibility for their actions instead of blaming others for their own mistakes. Empathy helps us understand each other better and build stronger, more supportive communities. Being accountable and compassionate can make a real difference in how we live and interact with one another.
Why Commons?
I love working in Buffalo Commons Charter School and being part of a school that is new and growing. What excites me most is the opportunity to contribute to shaping a positive and supportive environment for students. The community here is open, welcoming, and treats everyone with kindness and respect. I enjoy being in a place where I can learn, grow, and make a real difference alongside both students and colleagues.
